The long version:

I am a third-generation Realtor that has been selling Phoenix real estate for over 20 years.  As kid I worked every vacation and break at My Grandfather and Father’s company, Bud Melcher & Associates.  Determined to never understand what the various Real estate related initials (i.e. FHA, MIP, VA) ever meant I, obviously, never intended to sell real estate.  I did love working at the offices though and would be sad when Spring or Summer break were over and I’d have to return to “normal” life.

“Normal” life for the past 20+ years has revolved around real estate much like it did when I was a kid.  I’m married to another Phoenix native, Steffan Prokopchak.  We met car-pooling to high school when he and I lived in Moon Valley and commuted into Central Phoenix every day to attend Brophy & Xavier.  We’ve been married nearly 19 years and have lived in the same house for the past 18 years.  It’s ironic, I suppose, that we met in a quest to get from North Phoenix to North Central Phoenix and we now live less than a mile from our earlier destination (brophy & xavier).  Steffan and I finally had kids about five (5) years ago and now have two small humans that make sunrise and sunset look even more spectacular than a pollution-rich sky ever could.
